Distance: From Trailhead 1: 14.5 miles RT with elevation gain 1500 ft.
From Trailhead 2: 10 miles RT with elevation gain 800 ft.
Directions to the Trailhead: From the 210 freeway take the Osborne exit. Turn north. At the 2nd light turn left onto Osborne following the Wildlife Waystation signs. Osborne becomes Little Tujunga Road. Drive 11.1 miles to Bear Divide Vista and park (trailhead 1). For those looking for a shorter hike, drive another 100 yards to Santa Clara Divide Road 2N17 then drive 2.5 miles further to a spot where there is a pine grove on the left side of road 2N17 and ample parking across from it on the right (trailhead 2).
The Hike: The objective is to get both groups of hikers to the top of Magic Mountain. CAUTION - The hike description does not explain how to do this - take the roads?, trails? This should be pre-hiked before calling this hike!
